Movies to the Max

By Kelly Yates
MOVIEGOERS munched on popcorn while enjoying the opening of the new VMAX screen at Village Cinemas Fountain Gate last Wednesday night.
More than 300 people filled the cinema for an exclusive screening of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.
The new wall-to-wall VMAX screen measures 22 metres, with the cinema featuring stadium seating with joint tables and cupholders.
The cinema also has the latest in the 3D technology.
General manager of Village Cinemas Fountain Gate Robbie Ager said the motto behind the VMAX screen was “bigger is better”.
“It’s a bigger screen, with bigger sound and bigger seating for a bigger experience,” Mr Ager said.
