PEARCEDALE’S Shane Simons and Rachel Murray are the proud parents of newborn baby Natalie Rose.
The couple made headlines in April last year after Ms Murray endured a miscarriage in the waiting room toilet at Casey Hospital.
The pair, who were both 19 at the time, visited the emergency department twice on the same day, waiting for medical care, before Ms Murray had the miscarriage in a toilet cubicle.
Mr Simons told the News this week that after everything they went through at the Berwick hospital, seeing their nine-pound baby’s face after the delivery was an absolutely amazing feeling.
“She had a magical look,” he said.
Baby Natalie Rose was born at Frankston Hospital on Monday 22 June at 2pm.
“Life’s so much better now with our baby. It’s a big challenge but a lot of fun,” Mr Simons said.
