HAMPTON Park teenager Brody Varenhout questions why police removed flowers, photos and tributes after last week’s second fatality in two weeks at the intersection of Ormond and Hallam roads.
Brody, a friend of the four teenagers who died in a horror smash on 28 June, was among other locals heartbroken by the actions of police and VicRoads employees who dumped tributes, including a wreath, into the back of a ute.
Police speculated that the presence of the large amount of tributes at the intersection was a factor in Friday’s fatal crash which left a 21-year-old woman dead.
