Wizard time for winter arts

RESIDENTS have the opportunity to take part in arts events and performances during the City of Casey’s Winter Arts Program.
The program, which runs throughout the month of July, will include Hallam Senior College’s performance of The Wiz, the story of The Wizard of Oz retold with funky songs and spectacular sets on Thursday 30 July and Friday 31 July at 7.30pm.
There will also be two performances on Saturday 1 August at 2pm and 7.30pm.
Tickets cost $15 adults and $10 concession. An exhibition by local painting group Patmos is being held this month at the Libran Dogma Gallery and Studio in Narre Warren North.
The gallery is open from Friday to Sunday from 11am to 4pm.
The Young Generation Filipono Punog Kawayan Band is performing a Musical Bamboo Concert on Saturday 25 July at 6.30pm at the John Pandazopoulos Hall in Doveton. Tickets cost $15.
