Youth get a go in Casey

NARRE Warren South and Hampton Park will be homes to the Youth Foundations Victoria initiative, encouraging the young people in Casey to get involved within the community.
The program, formed in 2006 through a partnership between the Brumby Labor Government and the Bendigo Bank, will allow young people to play key roles in assisting peers in the area while developing vital skills.
The South Eastern Region Migrant Resource Centre has been selected as the lead agency for the local program.
Narre Warren South MP Judith Graley said the initiative provided an opportunity for young people in the area to come together, with the support of the local Bendigo Bank and other community organisations and provide grants to other young people.
The site will receive $184,000 over two years from the Government and the initiative’s local partner, the Narre Warren South Community Bendigo Bank branch, will contribute a further $100,000.
Young people aged between 12 and 25 who are interested in becoming involved in the Narre Warren South and Hampton Park Youth Foundations Victoria site should contact the South Eastern Region Migrant Resource Centre.
