Band wins dream run

BAND Dream On, Dreamer rocked the stage to win the 2009 Spectrum Entertainment’s FReeZA Push Start Battle of the Bands competition.
The annual competition, held on 24 July at the Cranbourne Public Hall, attracted more than 300 young people who saw six bands compete for the overall title.
The bands competing in the final event included As Ember Burns, Happy Accidents, These City Secrets, With Wings! and All or Nothing. Second place winners of the competition were With Wings! and All or Nothing came third. Winning band Dream On, Dreamer will receive a full-day mentoring and recording session at Pony Music in Hallam. They will go on to represent the southern region at the regional finals in November at Brighton Town Hall. The next Spectrum Entertainment live music event is scheduled for September.
