Top season finish for McCartney

NARRE North Foxes young gun Clayton McCartney won the Dandenong and District Junior Football League’s under-14 Division One best-and-fairest last Friday night to cap an amazing season.
McCartney also finished atop the age group’s goalkicking with 65 and was a key member of the competition’s under-14 interleague side in June.
Other local best-and-fairest winners on the league’s night of nights were Narre Warren ruckman Corie Intveen (under-15 Division One) and Narre South Lion Aaron Miles (under-14 Blue Division).
Intveen is a member of the Dandenong Stingrays’ development squad.
Berwick’s Jack Sheppard, Endeavour Hills pair Ghanim Zoghbi and Blake Pearson, Hallam duo Dylan Harraghy and Matt Neve, Narre South Lion Samuel Grimshaw and Narre Warren’s Kalen Murrian and Sam Chaudhery recorded podium finishes in their respective divisions.
Narre South Lion spearhead Mitchell Dyer and Hallam forward Luke Harlen won the goalkicking in the under-14 Blue and Red divisions with 59 and 67 respectively.
