POLICE say they don’t want idiot drunks causing problems for footy fans at this year’s Casey Cardinia League finals.
Acting Senior Sergeant Dave Sheppard from Narre Warren police said officers would be out in force at the finals re-enforcing the message about the responsible service of alcohol.
More police will be out and about, cracking down on alcohol being served to intoxicated and underage footy fans.
“We want people to enjoy themselves and act responsibly,” Act Sen Sgt Sheppard said.
The preliminary finals will be held on Sunday 13 September at Edwin Flack Reserve, with the grand final kicking off at Pakenham on Saturday 19 September.
