POLICE are investigating an incident in Hallam yesterday (Wednesday), which left a man with a fractured skull and internal bleeding in the head.
The man, believed to be in his 20s, was taken to Dandenong Hospital with potentially life threatening injuries after he was found near a factory area along Princes Highway in Hallam at 12.45am.
Police said the man had been assaulted.
Detectives say they have very little information about the attack and are not sure when or where it took place.
A crime scene was set up at the location where the man was found, with forensic specialists examining the scene.
