HOMICIDE detectives have charged a Narre Warren man with one count of murder after a nine-month investigation into a fatal house fire.
The body of Mary Cook, 37, was discovered on Sunday 14 December last year inside her Narre Warren home.
Investigators arrested the man in Narre Warren, and also seized a knife from grassland in Golf Links Road.
The 36-year-old man was set to appear before the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
