STUDENTS at Heritage College Year 7S mingled with Berwick Brae Retirement Village earlier this month as part of a community service initiative.
The students made a list of interview questions at school and then in pairs, spent more than an hour socialising with their resident.
The visit was well received, with one resident writing a letter of appreciation to the students after the event.
Students are organising their interview answers to write a biography of their residents.
These will be assessed as part of the college’s curriculum and then presented to residents in Term 4 on a return visit to the retirement village.
