MOTORISTS can test-drive driving on the new roads and ramps on the upgraded M1 motorway using a touch-screen interactive simulation.
Roads and Ports Minister Tim Pallas joined Narre Warren North MP Luke Donnellan on Monday to launch the interactive animation at the RACV shop at Westfield Fountain Gate. The initiative was developed to help motorists experience the road changes as part of the $1.39 billion Monash-CityLink-West Gate Upgrade.
Mr Donnellan is encouraging local motorists who used the freeway to try the simulation.
He said the upgrade would provide significant benefits for commuters along the M1 corridor.
“Motorists in suburbs such as Narre Warren, Berwick, Endeavour Hills and Hallam will benefit from the travel time and road safety benefits this project will bring,” he said.
