MP in slow lane

By Kelly Yates
NARRE Warren North MP Luke Donnellan handed over 550 petitions to Casey councillor Daniel Mulino over the weekend, calling on the council to lower the speed limit along Parkhill Drive in Berwick.
Mr Donnellan said the response he had received to the campaign to reduce the speed limit from 70km/h was very supportive.
There have been seven reported casualty accidents along Parkhill Drive from 2004 to 2008.
Since the opening of Ernst Wanke Road, many locals said they had noticed an increase in the amount of traffic, with many using Parkhill Drive as a bypass to and from Westfield Fountain Gate.
Cr Mulino will present the petitions to Casey council at an upcoming council meeting.
