Give Casey your best

NOMINATIONS are open for the 2010 Casey Citizens of the Year Awards.
There are four individual categories and one group category for the most outstanding community event or activity of 2009.
Mayor Geoff Ablett said the awards were a great way to recognise local community members who had made a valuable contribution to Casey.
Casey’s acting director of community services Janette Green said it was vitally important that people made the effort to nominate deserving people.
“There really is no better way to thank those dedicated members of our community than to officially recognise them through these awards,” Ms Green said.
The award categories include Casey Citizen of the Year, Casey Young Citizen of the Year, Casey Senior Citizen of the Year, Casey non-resident of the Year and Casey Community Event/Activity of the Year 2009.
Nominations for individual awards close 26 October.
Nominations close 26 October for those events or activities held between 1 January and 30 September 2009.
For those events held between 1 October and 31 December 2009 nominations close 7 January 2010.
For details call Casey council on 9705 5200.
