MOVEMER is the theme this month at Oatlands Primary School. Four out of the seven male teachers at the Narre Warren school are growing moustaches to raise money for men’s health.
The teachers involved will run a bearded barbecue and hold a ‘Moustache Monday’ event where the students can wear a made, bought or borrowed moustache to school by donating a gold coin.
The students who donate money go into a draw to be picked to shave one of the teacher’s moustaches on 23 November during a school assembly.
The school’s principal Stuart Daly, who has worn a moustache for the last 40 years, has also agreed to shave his moustache if someone donates $10,000.
