About 1852 people walked through the doors at the Berwick South McDonald’s restaurant to celebrate McHappy Day.
The fast-food restaurant sold 980 Big Macs on the day and helped raise more than $2 million in one of Australia’s largest annual fund-raising events for Ronald McDonald House Charities to help seriously ill children and their families.
Firefighters from the Berwick Fire Brigade took donations at the drive-through and handed out McHappy Day balloons to the children.
The children were also treated to a colouring competition on the day.
