ONE of Australia’s favourite female novelists Di Morrissey called into Westfield Fountain Gate last week to promote her new book, The Silent Country.
Casey residents gathered to meet Ms Morrissey, who has 16 bestsellers to her name, on Tuesday for a book signing at Angus & Robertson.
Ms Morrissey signed 60 copies of The Silent Country on the day.
The book tells the story of a television producer who travels to the Northern Territory to retrace the journey of an expedition 50 years earlier to film the outback.
Ms Morrissey had her own television program in the United States on CBS and was a regular presenter on Network 10 Australia.
She has also written for television, film and theatre.
