Honour for pharmacy

A NARRE Warren pharmacy has been named the Victorian Chemmart pharmacy of the year.
The Richard Edwards Pharmacy scored the award, which recognises excellence in customer service, store presentation, staff training and business management, at an awards ceremony in Coolum in Queensland.
Pharmacists Anthony Tassone, Richard Edwards and Zoltan Toskov accepted the award on behalf of their partners Chris Kelly and Lynette Calabrese and the rest of their team.
Mr Tassone said the pharmacy was thrilled with the award.
“Our staff take a lot of pride in the store and they put a lot of hard work into providing an excellent service to the community – without their efforts this certainly wouldn’t have been possible,” he said.
The pharmacy has been a part of Narre Warren for about 30 years.
“We value the important role we play in the community and we understand that we’re helping to manage our customers’ health care and make their lives better by offering solutions, not just products,” Mr Tassone said.
According to Chemmart Pharmacy executive director Jonathan Layton, the team at Richard Edwards Pharmacy was worthy recipients of the state award.
“I have no doubt they’ll be strong contenders for the national award next year,” Mr Layton said.
