THE number of Victorians employed increased by 22,640 last month.
This rise marked the sixth consecutive monthly increase, with the strong employment result driven by part-time employment, according to Narre Warren North MP Luke Donnellan.
National employment also increased by 24,480 in October.
“The increase in jobs both in Victoria and across Australia is a great example of how the Governments are protecting Australians from the worst of the global financial crisis,” Mr Donnellan said.
