Awards for medical research

A STATE-WIDE search for young health and medical research pioneers has begun, with nominations now open for the 2010 Premier’s Award for Health and Medical Research.
Premier John Brumby said budding researchers had the chance to share in $40,000 of prize money, while gaining recognition for their efforts in the field of scientific research. Mr Brumby is urging Victoria’s up-and-coming health and medical researchers to enter.
The Premier’s Award for Health and Medical Research is an initiative of the Victorian Government and the Australian Society for Medical Research.
Nominations for the 2010 Premier’s Award for Health and Medical Research are open until 16 February 2010. For details, visit www.business.vic.gov.au/premiersawards or call the Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering on 9340 1202.
