Di’s indelible decades- Chisholm Institute, Administration and Customer Service manager Di Sa

By Lia Bichel
AFTER more than 40 years in the education sector and more than 25 years at Chisholm Institute, Administration and Customer Service manager Di Saunders has retired from her position.
Ms Saunders has made a significant contribution to Administration and Customer Service training since joining Chisholm in 1982- both within Chisholm and at state-wide level.
She had strong commitment to the areas of business administration, legal practice retail and customer service and also led many networks, including the state-wide Administrative Studies Management network and was a VCE chief examiner (VET Business) for many years.
Ms Saunders said highlights of her work include establishing and developing Chisholm Publishing and watching a number of student Virtual Enterprise Firms established and flourish.
Chisholm’s deputy CEO Maria Peters said that Ms Saunders should be proud of her achievements and professional record within the institute and the sector.
“Di has always made an impression because of the passion and strong commitment to the area’s business administration, legal practice retail and customer service,” Ms Peters said.
“As a manager she has nurtured a committed and professional group of staff focussed on supporting students to achieve their goals. She has led her department to ensure the education and training offered by Chisholm is exemplary and of industry standard.
“I wish her continued rewards, ongoing success and personal fulfilment in the next stage of her journey.”
After researching her family history, Di and husband Dennis look forward to travelling overseas and around Australia.
“Who knows, we may even return to vocational education as project consultants,” she said.
