POLICE have nabbed a P-plater from Doveton driving on the wrong side of the road in Rosebud on Monday night.
The 20-year-old man was seen by police driving a silver Commodore sedan on the wrong side of the Mornington Peninsula Freeway near Jetty Road around 9pm.
After activating their lights and siren, police followed the car for 3.6 kilometres along the Mornington Peninsula on the wrong side of the road.
The car is alleged to have been travelling at a speed of 150km/h in a 100km/h zone before the driver pulled over near the Lonsdale Street overpass.
The man was arrested by police with the assistance of an off duty member who was travelling on the freeway towards the silver commodore.
He was taken to the Rosebud Police Station where he recorded a blood alcohol reading of .145.
His vehicle was impounded for 48 hours and he is expected to be charged by summons with traffic-related offences.
