THE Dandenong and District Cricket Association Turf One and Turf Two grades were all restricted to one-dayers last week with some shock results in the Turf One grade leaving the race to make the finals wide open.

@BT Sub Sport News:Berwick d Parkfield

BRAD Francis has continued his pre-Christmas form by belting 60 to lead Berwick to a one-day win over Parkfield at Parkfield Reserve.
Francis, who is averaging over 50 for the season, teamed up with captain Paul Evans (41) to lay the groundwork for the winning score of 168.
Earlier, Parkfield’s Ryan Pitts (52) combined with Brad Houghton (20) for an opening 50-run stand but tight fielding forced the runout of both batters.
On the back of the two runouts, Cameron McDonnell (2/23) put Parkfield on the back foot with two quick wickets.
Their eventual 5/167 off 40 overs was a modest total but given the wickets in hand, the final score should have been greater.
Berwick, in response, stumbled early to 2/29, but quickly recovered to record their sixth win of the season.

@BT Sub Sport News:Hallam-Kalora Park d Mordialloc

Hallam-Kalora Park has strolled to an eight-wicket victory over Mordialloc at Hallam Rec Reserve.
The Hallam-Kalora Park bowlers took aim at the Mordialloc top order and soon enough had bowled the visitors out for 84 in 29 overs.
The collapse was set up by Paul McDonald (3/12) and finished off by Damien Jordan (4/3) who took four of the final five wickets.
Hallam-Kalora Park’s captain Cory Booth finished on 35 not out and his team never looked fazed in chasing down the required 84 in 24 overs.

@BT Sub Sport News:Narre Warren d Keysborough

A 113-run opening partnership was not good enough for Keysborough as they succumbed to Narre Warren by four wickets at Keysborough Reserve.
Despite scoring 216, the second highest score for the weekend in Turf One, Narre Warren came up trumps racing to 217 with three overs to spare.
Keysborough opener Shiran Rajakaruna (71) could only watch from the field as Narre Warren’s Ryan Christie went tonks – smashing 77 off 46 balls – to lift his side to an unlikely away win.

@BT Sub Sport News:Doveton d Coomoora

Coomoora has failed with the bat and ball and crumbled to 92 in reply to Doveton’s 172 at Robinson Reserve.
A consistent batting performance by Doveton’s top order, which included four batters making 20 or more, paved the way for a solid 172.
In contrast, Coomoora made four ducks and fell for 92 with only three batters making more than 10 runs.

Turf Two

@BT Sub Sport News:Heinz Southern Districts d St Brigid’s/St Louis

St Brigid’s/St Louis has been trounced at home to HSD after they were bowled out for a lowly 114.
Kris Little (28) appeared to be the only batter not to struggle against the potent HSD bowling line up.
All six bowlers took wickets with Navoda Ganegoda (2/12) taking the best bowling figures as well as hitting the winning runs as HSD cruised past 114 in the 20th over.

@BT Sub Sport News:Dandenong West d Maranatha Methodist

David Weerden has smashed his third ton of the season to lift Dandenong West to a 63-run win over Maranatha at Greaves Reserve.
Weerden (103) and Greg Siwes (61) led North Dandenong to a 40-over score of 6/236 that could not be tracked down by Maranatha.
Maranatha’s Paul Goodchild (70) kept the scoreboard ticking but when Nathan Goodes (3/29) caught him off his own bowling, Maranatha fell to 7/173.

@BT Sub Sport News:Hampton Park d Springvale South

Hampton Park has held off a late charge by Springvale South to win by eight runs at Alex Nelson Reserve.
46 runs from Matthew Bartlett and a costly 27 extras from the Springvale bowlers moved Hampton Park to 8/217 off 40 overs.
In reply, Springvale South fell to 3/9 but a 113-run partnership between Christos Pasnin (91) and Gavin Fewkes (56) put hope back into the chase.
Unfortunately for the home side, tailender Bradley Sessler (7) was run out trying to scamper home, with eight balls left.

@BT Sub Sport News:Cranbourne d Berwick

Berwick has lost their sixth straight game, going down to Cranbourne by eight wickets at Arch Brown Reserve.
Berwick’s batsmen were again whittled away without much of a yelp, this time making 8/114, their second lowest total of the season.
Brad James (35 not out) retained some dignity from the innings that was torn apart by Robert Cleland (3/16) and Ross Woodall (2/20).
Berwick never had much of a chance defending the total and their hopes were completely dashed when the first Cranbourne wicket finally fell with Berwick holding on to a slight 33-run lead.

@BT Sub Sport News:Lyndale d Southern Pirates

As expected, Lyndale has rolled the Southern Pirates in a comfortable fashion at Wachter Reserve.
Batting first, the Southern Pirates dropped to 124 after good bowling by Jeremy Vethecan (3/10).
In reply, Lyndale dropped only three wickets on their way to a 34-over, seven-wicket victory.

@BT Sub Sport News:Buckley Ridges d Fountain Gate

Buckley Ridges’ main strike bowler Raman Sharma took a five-wicket haul to lead the visitors to an easy win over Fountain Gate at Park Oval.
Sharma took five wickets off eight overs and allowed only 31 runs as Fountain Gate stumbled to 105.
In response, Buckley Ridges reached 111 for the loss of only five wickets with Chris Murphy (33) the best of the bats.
