Club’s call to have a bash- Michael and Lisa Belot are inviting locals to try their hand at ta

CASEY Table Tennis Club is calling all garage gurus and backyard battlers as it prepares to launch its fourth season over the next fortnight.
The club is inviting anyone interested in the fun and fast-paced sport to participate in grading nights on Tuesday 9 and 16 March from 7pm to 10pm at its Hillsmeade Primary School headquarters.
Head coach Michael Belot has been delighted with the club’s progress since its inception and is hoping to further bolster his 50-strong playing group this season.
Players of all ages are welcome on Tuesday nights for internal competition, while many of the club’s emerging stars participate in tournaments at the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre and around the state.
Among the best performed is 13-year-old Evan Sam, who finished fourth in the under-13 division of the Australian Junior Championships last year.
For more information about the club, call Michael on 0430 386 990. Hillsmeade Primary School is at 82 The Promenade, Narre Warren South
