A PETITION with 24 signatures and a joint letter from residents opposing a proposed development in Narre Warren South were presented to Casey Council at last week’s council meeting.
Springfield Ward Councillor Sam Aziz handed over the petition and letter during the meeting on Tuesday 2 February.
The developer, Peter Kuepers, plans to provide “upper class motel-style living at an affordable price,” along Shrives Road.
Mr Kuepers told the News he hoped to target single people, workers, pensioners and students in need of affordable accommodation with the 112 managed apartments on the property.
Cr Aziz said there had been an “extraordinary response to the proposed development by concerned residents.”
