A WOMAN was trapped in her car for 20 minutes on Tuesday after a truck clipped her car on the Princes Freeway in Berwick.
Senior Constable Chris Tetof from the Casey Traffic Management Unit (TMU) said the truck hit the 19-year-old’s car when it was changing lanes near the Clyde Road off ramp at 9.50am.
Sen Const Tetof said the truck driver from Leongatha was travelling in the right lane when he hit the side of the woman’s Nissan sedan, which was in the left lane.
He said the car lost control, speared off into the centre median strip and crashed into a tree.
The woman from Catani was taken to the Dandenong Hospital with minor injuries.
She was the only occupant in the vehicle.
