A MOTHER from Narre Warren South is pleading for the return of her five-year-old son’s brand new BMX bike, which was stolen from their property last week.
Kym Smith said the green and black bike went missing from their Highcliff Court house on Monday night.
“Aiden was riding his bike at the front of our house near the nature strip and left it there to come inside,” she said.
“And 20 minutes later it was gone.”
Ms Smith’s husband searched the area around their home later that night but had no luck finding the missing bike.
“Aiden is devastated. He’s upset and can’t understand why someone has taken it,” she said.
“It makes me angry to think that someone would steal a child’s bike.”
Ms Smith said she hoped someone didn’t think the bike was part of their hard rubbish collection.
The family has reported the stolen bike, a Southern Star Cosmic Ray boys’ BMX bike, to the Narre Warren police station.
