FIREFIGHTERS battled a blaze on Sunday that burnt 1.5 acres of land in Narre Warren.
The Narre Warren fire brigade received several calls about the grass and shrub fire on Sunday 14 February about 4.30pm in the Melbourne Water retarding basin behind Bunnings Warehouse. It is believed the cause of the Lauderdale Road fire was a cigarette butt.
