DIALING 000 in the event of an emergency won’t seem as daunting for children at the ABC Narre Warren South Central Childcare Centre after they took part in an emergency response session last week.
The four-year-olds spent an hour on Tuesday with staff from Cool Kids learning about recognising danger, putting people in the recovery position and calling for an ambulance.
The theme of the day was safety said childcare assistant Sandy English.
“This was the first time we’ve had the session and it was really good. The kids were engaged the whole time,” Ms English said.
“It’s beneficial for children to learn these basic skills at an early age.”
