THE City of Casey Civic Centre Art Space has two new exhibitions on show this month.
Art enthusiasts will be treated to the free exhibition, which features ‘Lanterns on Their Horns’ by Brigitta Wolfram and ‘Growth Area’ by Nicole Oostwoud.
Casey mayor Lorraine Wreford said the exhibitions were a fantastic start to the year’s exhibition program and feature contemporary, innovative artwork.
Brigitta aims to keep experimenting to help her retain a fresh approach to art.
The paintings on show are lush, evocative abstract works using vivid colours.
Fellow exhibitor Nicole has showcased her work throughout Australia and also at the Monash Centre in Prato, Italy.
‘Growth Area’ is a range of intriguing jewellery and small-scale sculpture pieces.
Her artwork explores the intersection and tension between the natural and constructed worlds.
The Civic Centre Art Space is located at the City of Casey Council offices along Magid Drive in Narre Warren, and is open Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm.
Most artworks are available to purchase.
The new exhibition runs until 30 March.
