Our new captains- Troy and Peta Pittaway has moved from Perth to become captains of Berwick’s

BERWICK’S new Salvation Army captains, Troy and Peta Pittaway, have easily adjusted to their new community.
The couple moved to Berwick in mid-January with their two-year-old daughter, Isabella, after an 18-month stint as captains of a Perth branch.
They have replaced long-serving captains Craig and Karrina Exon, who have moved to New Zealand after seven years at the helm.
Troy, 31, and 37-year-old Peta had just a few weeks to unpack and settle in to their new home before they were officially made the new leaders of Berwick’s Salvos – although both say the community has welcomed them with open arms.
“We are really excited to be here. I love the mix of Berwick; there are young families with a bit of money and also people with AOD (Alcohol and Drug) issues,” Peta said.
The new captains, both drug and alcohol social workers, have introduced drug and alcohol counselling and emergency relief to the centre. Troy and Peta have introduced a website to keep people up-to-date with all the happenings at the Berwick Salvation Army.
