Camera catch is quick

CASEY traffic police nabbed 23 unregistered vehicles, eight suspended drivers, seven unlicenced drivers and one disqualified driver by setting up the automated number plate recognition camera last week.
Police patrolled Sladen Street and South Gippsland Highway in Cranbourne on Wednesday 3 March as part of the operation.
Casey Traffic Management Unit (TMU) Sergeant Pat McGavigan said police caught a total of 38 people committing 45 offences on the day.
The automated number plate recognition camera is a surveillance method used by police to read licence plates.
