HAMPTON Park VLBA Division B2 side fought back for an eight-shot win against MCC on Saturday and are now set for quarter finals this week.
The game was played at Burden Park and at the lunch break things were not looking to good for the Parkers with only one team in front by seven shots.
The other two teams were down by 24 shots.
Charles Hose, Brian Diaper, Ellen Smith and skip Christine Hendrie started with a four and then continued to slowly move away from the opposition to win by 11 shots.
From 13 shots down, Len Bell, Rhonda Diaper, Gail Wilcock and skip Helen Lambert fought back hard to go down by two shots.
Jenny Bruggeman, Bernie Bruggeman, Gwen Clough and skip Heather Naismith came from 11 shots down to finish just one shot short of a win.
The A2 side was found wanting when it played Bundoora RSL at Cheltenham, going down by 17 shots.
Jim Westwell, June Damon, Neville Hendrie and skip Grace Hogan did not take advantage of their chances, going down by just one shot.
Dot Carr, Geri Graafsma, Rob Woff and skip Bob Naismith trailed all day to go down by three shots.
A mini collapse near the end left Mary Hose, Alan Wilcock, Allan Unwin and skip Ann Westwell 13 shots behind.
On the same day, the B2 side went to Ivanhoe to take on Sunbury with a much more pleasing result.
A big second half saw Len Bell, Rhonda Diaper, Gail Wilcock and skip Helen Lambert shoot away to a 12-shot win.
Winning the last nine ends allowed Jenny Bruggeman, Bernie Bruggeman, Gwen Clough and skip Heather Naismith to finish 12 shots in front.
Charles Hose, Brian Diaper, Ellen Smith and skip Christine Hendrie kept their game tight to go down by four shots.
Hampton Park defeated Sunbury by 20 shots.
The Electric Light game against Mulgrave CC had all three teams losing by a total of 13 shots.
