THE Berwick Bowling Club and the Berwick Neighbourhood Centre will each receive $1000 as part of Casey’s Access for All Abilities Initiative Grants program.
The aim of the program is to increase participation of people with a disability in community-based sport and leisure opportunities and to raise community awareness of the benefits of participating in sport and leisure.
The Berwick Bowling Club is set use the money to purchase a portable ramp to enable wheelchair access to the bowling green, while the Berwick Neighbourhood Centre is looking at using the grant to create a community garden.
