COLLINWOOD AFL footballer Leon Davis, actor Blair McDonough and television presenter and model Georgia Sinclair will help raise money at Casey’s first Good Friday Family Fun Day.
AMV Insulation chose to host the event on Friday 2 April in the grounds at Hillcrest Christian College after successfully scoring an application to run a Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal initiative.
Financial controller Esther Salisbury said the organisation chose the City of Casey because there was no official Good Friday Appeal fundraiser in South-East region of Victoria.
Ms Salisbury said she hoped the event would attract a crowd of 5000.
Live music by local bands and musicians, face painting, a baby animal farm and a range of amusement rides will entertain crowds on the day.
The Easter Bunny will also make an appearance handing out chocolate Easter eggs.
“The event is for everyone, those young and young at heart,” Ms Salisbury said.
Director of AMV Insulation Michael Vidic, who lives in Berwick, believed the Casey Good Friday Family Fun Day would be a great way to contribute to a great cause in one of Melbourne’s fastest growing municipalities, while having some quality family time jam packed with fun and entertainment.
The Casey Good Friday Family Fun Day runs from 10am to 5pm.
