FOUNTAIN Gate Primary School student Zayneb swapped her school uniform for her cultural clothes from Afghanistan during the school’s week-long Harmony Day celebrations.
The students took part in a range of activities to mark the day, with Holt MP Anthony Byrne presenting the Narre Warren school with an Australian flag.
Residents from more than 100 countries now call the City of Casey home. The Harmony Day 2010 theme was Express Yourself, which provided a chance for all to reflect on, and celebrate, Australia’s linguistic, ethnic and religious diversity in their own individual way.
