Teens hospitalised after head-on crash

A HAMPTON Park man was taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital with back injuries following a head-on collision in St Albans last week.
Police said the 18-year-old man was driving a red Nissan 200SX west on Main Road West when it collided with a white Ford sedan around 10.20pm on Thursday.
A 19-year-old, who was the front passenger, was trapped and had to be cut free from the wreckage before being taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital with head and chest injuries. The driver and sole occupant of the Ford sedan, a 23-year-old St Albans woman, was treated for bruising and chest injuries at The Alfred hospital.
Police from the Major Collision Investigation Unit are investigating the collision.
