CANCER Council Victoria is urging all Casey residents to help tip the balance in the fight against cancer by taking part in Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea this May.
Last year, 226 Casey hosts and their guests banded together and raised more than $65,000 towards the Cancer Council’s research, prevention programs and support services.
Cancer Council Victoria spokesperson Louise Hollaway said Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea was a great way to show your support for locals facing cancer and to make a tangible difference to their cancer fight.
“May is the perfect excuse to get together with friends and colleagues and make a real difference to people facing cancer both in Casey and across the state,” Ms Hollaway said.
“Last year alone, 32 people from Casey utilised Cancer Council’s Cancer Information and Support Service, which provides free information and support for anyone affected by cancer. Without the generosity of passionate communities like Casey this work would not be possible.”
Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea will be held on Thursday 27 May.
