Day care

GRANTS are now available to help family day care and outside school hours care providers comply with new children’s services regulations.
Minister for Children and Early Childhood Development Maxine Morand said $1.9 million was available for minor capital works and resource kits.
The grants can be used by service providers to upgrade resources and equipment.
Ms Morand said the funding was available to help children’s services comply with the government’s regulations introduced last year, which are designed to improve the quality of care provided to Victorian children.
Applications for the grants and resource kits are open to all outside school hours care, family day care and occasional care service providers and close on 28 April. For details, you can visit www.education.vic.gov.au/licensedchildservices
