Displays reveal diverse talent

RUSSIAN born Elena Kolotusha will have an exhibition that reflects her interest in the natural world on show at the City of Casey’s Civic Centre Art Space until 28 May.
Ms Kolotusha’s exhibition, Things and Beings, features paintings of objects such as shells, pebbles, fruit and toys.
Ms Kolotusha studied visual arts at the University of Kazakhstan and taught fine arts for several years. She has continued her artistic work since moving to Australia, and has exhibited widely in the south-east.
A second exhibition by the Berwick District Woodworkers Club, entitled Works, will also be on display until 28 May. The club has more than 100 members and is an active group in Casey. The exhibition includes a number of items made out of river red gum, mallee root, zebrawood, oregon and camphor laurel. Casey mayor Lorraine Wreford said with two diverse exhibitions on show, it was a great time to visit the Casey Civic Centre Art Space at Narre Warren.
