FUNDING of up to $100,000 for recreational fishing projects in Victoria is available.
South Eastern Metropolitan Region MP Inga Peulich is encouraging community not-for-profit organisations, angling clubs, schools and incorporated bodies to apply.
The grants will provide funding to implement or upgrade existing recreational fishing facilities, conduct an event to promote responsible recreational fishing practices or prepare educational materials to promote recreational fishing practices.
Previous grants have included improvements to fish habitats in rivers, the construction of fisheries jetties and platforms and the installation of solar lights and signage at fisheries platforms.
