Quality creations

THE winners of the annual Casey Creations Creative Arts Competition were announced as part of National Youth Week celebrations in April.
The competition, which attracted 342 artworks, had a Visual Arts and a Photography category for students from Grade five to Years 12.
City of Casey mayor Lorraine Wreford presented the awards at a ceremony, which was attended by the winners, their family and friends.
“The quality of artwork entered in the competition is testament to the wealth of creative talent that exists in the City of Casey, so I encourage all participants to continue exploring art and nurturing their talents,” Cr Wreford said.
City of Casey manager Youth and Family Service Colette McMahon said the annual Casey Creations Creative Arts Competition was a wonderful opportunity to showcase the talent and creativity of young people in Casey.
The winner of the Visual Art Grade five and six section was Stefan Cotroneo, the Year seven to nine was Tia Clothier and Year 10 to 12 was Sarah Sheppard.
The Photography section winners were Caitlyn Van Uyen in the Grade five to six, Zoe Elsbury in the Year seven to nine and Mia Lindblom in the Year 10 to 12 section.
