TWO offenders led police on a pursuit in a stolen car on Sunday 16 May, through Narre Warren and surrounding suburbs.
The police dog squad and air unit were called in when the pursuit ended after the offenders drove into a vacant block of land and fled the car.
Endeavour Hills police attempted to intercept the stolen vehicle at the corner of Ormond and Hallam roads, Narre Warren South, just after 1am.
The driver of the car failed to stop and continued through a number of suburban streets at about 70 km/hr.
The offenders then turned onto Narre Warren-Cranbourne Road.
Police said at the Greaves Road intersection, the vehicle went through a red traffic signal and started going down the wrong side of the road, narrowly missing an oncoming vehicle.
The offender drove the car into a vacant block of land between Centre and Greaves roads, then fled.
The dog squad and air unit were called in to try and locate the men, but the offenders were not found.
The stolen vehicle is describes as a black,1976 Ford Escort panel van.
