A BUS driver was caught doing 17km over the speed limit in a Hampton Park school zone last week.
Police nabbed the man doing 57km/h in a 40km/h past River Gum Primary School, along Fordholm Road, at 3.40pm on Wednesday.
The driver lost three demerit points and received a $467 fine for speeding.
Senior Constable Allen Inderwisch said the man gave police no excuse for his behaviour.
He said there were 12 people on the bus at the time of the incident.
