THE City of Casey has launched a photo exchange competition with its sister city Springfield, Ohio in the United States.
Residents in both countries are asked to submit photos taken locally that represent their culture and diversity as part of the Culture of Casey photographic competition.
Casey mayor Lorraine Wreford is encouraging residents to take part in the competition.
“It’s a great way to learn more about Casey and gives people the chance to stop and reflect on what our culture means to them,” Cr Wreford said.
For the past 20 years, the City of Casey and Springfield, Ohio have hosted exchange students for athletic games.
City of Casey community strengthening manager Janette Green said the Culture of Casey photographic competition was open to all residents, of all ages and abilities.
“Springfield residents will be judging the City of Casey’s photographic entries and we will be judging theirs. Casey’s winning entries will be displayed at Springfield’s CultureFest in September,” Ms Green said.
Entries are now open and close at 5pm on Monday 21 June.
