MOSSGIEL Park Primary School opened its new multi-purpose centre last Friday with a night of entertainment.
More than 300 people enjoyed a picnic tea in the school grounds, with the official opening ceremony kicking off at 6.30pm.
Anthony Byrne, the Labor Federal member for Holt, cut the ribbon to open the building with principal Jenny Scott. Narre Warren North Labor MP Luke Donnellan also attended the event.
The new centre features a gymnasium, music room, large storeroom, kitchen area, computer area, toilets and showers, and a large foyer.
Teacher Jane Grenfell said the school was ecstatic with the $3.2 million building.
The Victoria Police Show Band also performed for the crowds at the Endeavour Hills school on the night, while students in Grades 3 to 6 performed in the annual “Mossie Idol” singing competition.
