CASEY council is calling on all music fans to take part in a free workshop that aims to develop musical ability and spark creativity.
The Casey Sings workshop will be run by professional musicians from Saturday 26 June to Wednesday 30 June.
Casey mayor Lorraine Wreford said the aim of Casey Sings was to provide residents with the opportunity to take part in the council’s annual Winter Arts Program.
The two-hour workshops, which will be held at Cranbourne, Doveton, Hampton Park and Blind Bight, include group song building, suitable for all levels of experience.
Participants will have the chance to showcase their talents and perform as a choir at the Winter Arts Program Open Day on 3 July at The Factory – Rehearsal Centre for the Arts in Cranbourne East from 1pm to 5pm.
No auditions are required and singing or song writing experience is not essential.
For details visit www.casey.vic.gov.au/winterarts program or call 9705 5200.
