THIEVES stole $4000 worth of copper cabling from an electricity sub-station in Clyde North.
Police said the thieves cut through padlocks on two gates to gain entry into the Berwick-Cranbourne Road sub-station sometime between midday on Sunday 20 June and 9am on Monday 21 June.
Police believe the thieves used a car and a trailer to escape with 1000 metres of the copper cabling.
Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Senior Constable David Measham at the Narre Warren police station on 9705 3111.
