Bike rider comes full circle- Jarrod Bailey from Narre Warren rests his head during a 30-hour

NARRE Warren’s Jarrod Bailey made it through an enduring 30-hour charity bike ride this week, saying his “stubbornness” to achieve the goal helped him through.
Mr Bailey completed the Tour de Casey in the foyer area of Casey ARC on Tuesday to raise money for the YMCA’s youth mentoring program.
The 28-year-old rode on the bike from 10am on Monday to 4pm on Tuesday.
Moments after he stepped off the bike, Mr Bailey said he was feeling tired and happy to have finished the ride.
“It was pretty hard.
“The toughest part was just after the halfway mark, between 3am and 7am,” he said.
Mr Bailey said he remained focussed throughout the marathon ride.
“I knew the pain would go away once I made it to the other side,” he said.
More than $2500 is believed to have been raised for the youth mentoring program, which empowers youth in the community to reach their potential.
A number of Casey ARC members, staff and the public also rode alongside Mr Bailey in the fundraising event.
A hot shower and having a bite to eat were the two things Mr Bailey was looking forward to after the ride.
