Unacceptable rates

AS RATEPAYERS and residents of the City of Casey, we have attended the meetings at the Council Chambers in regards to the Brookland Greens Estate. It seems that the State Government and the EPA have a lot to answer for and should be held responsible for the cost in full.
It would be nice to see more residents unite in attendance at the meetings as larger numbers show that we are not happy with what is being done. I also feel that if this rate rise does go through it may force residents to move to cheaper areas where the rates are less than what Casey Council is wanting.
There are a lot of elderly residents in Casey that are just making ends meet as it is, so let’s all unite as one and stand as one and say no to the rate rise.
